WHY IS MODERN POSTURE SO MISALIGNED?

Office workplace environments are one of the major factors in developing sitting posture misalignments. Long periods of computer use (practically unavoidable these days) has such a negative impact that just this area alone accounts for a large increase in these misalignment issues.

A sitting posture can impact the spine, neck and shoulder muscles and cause fatigue, which can lead to headaches, neck / shoulder tension and / or chronic pain.

​

Occupations that require a lot of standing or walking can cause just as many postural misalignment issues. Long periods of standing or walking can result in lower back pain, shoulder and neck tension and aching feet.

WHAT IS THE STRUCTURAL RELEASE TECHNIQUE?

Good posture starts at your soles. The Structural Release Technique begins with a pelvis / shoulder alignment assessment. Reflex points on the feet and ankles are then used to address tension in the pelvis. This is followed by shoulder and upper body reflexology to address tension in the shoulders.

This technique is the foundation for every reflexology session at Reflex 2 Health, and has proven incredibly successful over the past 12+ years.
